Our Rollercoaster of a Week

>>Picture is from 1st IVF follow-up appointment<<

After we left our appointment on May 3rd where we got our oh so wonderful news of Rickey's counts all going up! ((If your just now checking in: he went from his count being 4 million to 7.1 million, his motility went from 22% to 39%, & normal shaped sperm went from 1 to 3)) Can you say WOW?! If that didn't lift our spirits I don't know what could :) -- Anyways, after leaving there the nurse sent my prescriptions to the pharmacy. Easy Peasy Right?!! Well me not needing them until weeks later thought oh it doesn't need to be rushed no biggie! Wrong!!
One week later I spoke with the tech from the mail order pharmacy -since its a speciality thats where they had to go- & she says politely "Mrs. Renfrow your insurance is inactive!" Say what??!!! Coming from the pharmacy world I said there's no way but I will call the number on the back on my card & figure out whats going on. I immediately hung up the phone with her & called our insurance company. Sure enough they proceed to inform me "Yes ma'am its inactive; you will have to speak with the HR department of you husbands workplace to figure out more details. So on to calling my husband to inform him I have no insurance you need to go to your HR dept; where he quickly goes to figure out the issue. Come to find out they cut me off because apparently they said I had not sent in our marriage license -which I distinctly remember doing- plus I had a card & been to the doctor with his insurance previously so why put me on then cut me right back off had I not sent them to required paperwork?
So after my husband literally speaking with everyone higher up he could possibly speak with to get this resolved more than once everyday for a total week on Friday (this happened on Monday) they inform us the paperwork had been found not attached to the appropriate file & put in an emergency work-order for my insurance to be cut back on ASAP! I knew I had sent the correct paperwork on time.
From there I called the lady with our pharmacy back & let her know my insurance was active again that she could run my prescription to see if we could possibly get some of them covered. *crosses fingers*... Big Negative- not one prescription was covered. Bummer! She gives me my price & I let her know the bank was sending money over through their account & afterwards my scripts would be fine to ship out! Once again pretty simple right?! WRONG once more...The money had been sent to a pharmacy in Miami we had never even heard of nor had my prescription ever been sent to or had anyone told this company to send money there in the first place! Ugh!
Here we go making dozens of phone calls once again to figure out another problem & get it resolved as quickly as possible since we don't have much to work with at this point. Hours & dozens of calls later everything is good to go, but getting in touch with the pharmacy at this point was unlikely to happen since it was so late in the day the accountant was gone & would be back on Monday when hopefully my meds will be sent overnight delivery.
God was definitely testing us this past week, but that doesn't mean that we will give up so easily! It took us a lots of time, patience, prayers, doctors appointment, & money to get here & we will not let this stop us now. Prayers no other holdups!
