Hi! I am Jessi, proud wife to my amazing husband Rickey. He is an electrician full time & while I was working in the medical field as a pharmacy technician- I am blessed now to be able to start my dream job selling Mommy/Children's clothing & accessories (My shop is called Stork Happies ((there is a link at the top where you can connect to my store)) where I can have my own schedule & stress free as possible ;) during this time plus to one day be able to stay home with our children. Rickey & I have basically known each other over 10 years, since being from such a small town here in TN, we have hung out & had mutual friends throughout the years but never once thought about dating. All that changed quickly about 2 years ago when I was out with a best friend of mine (who begged me to go with her after I had been working a 12hour shift at the hospital & to return for another the following day) & he was out with his sister when we happened to run into each other & to my surprise our "love" story began there. :) We got married exactly one day (June 6, 2015) before we had been together for one whole year! We were your typical newlyweds- Young, Happy, & In Love. We both have a love for children like no other which meant we would try to have a child right away. So before we got married we weren't exactly trying- but not preventing either.
Months & Months went by with nothing. If any of you know me or my husband- patience is not our strongest point (when it came to this matter anyways). So after waiting at least 6 months after we were married & still nothing; We began seeking out our options to see what was wrong! ((Even though some will say thats too fast or it just takes time)) Blah! Blah! Blah!
We visited a fertility clinic locally to finally get some answers to all of our ongoing questions. We learned at this time that I checked out okay with all of my test except maybe slightly on the low end of progesterone but no worries there. On the other hand, Rickey had almost low everything on his test. This news absolutely tore my husband to pieces- literally! He was sent out to a urologist from there to have extra test done & get the ball rolling. The urologist had prescribed my husband Clomid 50mg once daily & Testosterone 200mg shots 1cc every other week. Upon going back to the fertility doctor in January we came to realize the testosterone shots were a horrible thing & making his count lower than it already was in the first place. Ugh!! Dr.K (our fertility doc) was not happy about the shots one bit, neither were we at that point. So off shots & for him only to take Clomid 50mg once daily Monday-Friday try this for 3 months & come back. If levels on everything wasn't high enough still to conceive on our own then onto IUI or IVF so we got take home papers for each.
3 months later, back to fertility clinic for our follow-up appointment. We were all shocked at his results: Count went from 4 million to 7.1 million, Motility percentage went from 22% to 39%, & normal shaped sperm went from 1 to 3! YAY!! :) Doctor at this point told us it was high enough for IUI (Intrauterine insemination) our percentages were still higher going with IVF(In vitro fertilization). We had prepared ourselves during those last 3 months for IVF & knew if we didn't go with our gut feeling & took the much lower option & it failed we would regret it big time! So here we are today starting our journey it just a couple of days. Please keep us in your prayers & wish us lots of baby dust during this time!
Thanks for stopping by :)
