If you haven’t seen on my social media stories by now, my progesterone levels are in & we got amazing news!

Thursday my levels were 692.
Saturday my levels were 1498.

These numbers are fantastic! They called me this morning to inform me our 1st ultrasound will be Monday, August 12th. This day we will finally get to see this sweet little miracle or miracles I have growing inside of me. Stay tuned for details! This is going to be the longest 14 days EVER. If infertility teaches you nothing else; it teaches you patience!

Yall, infertility is HARD! It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever had to go through in my life. Not just because of the emotional rollercoaster that becomes your entire life, but because it’s a huge world of unknowns & waiting. I’m a planner. I generally like to know plans A, B, C, & D. I need all of this information from the get-go; in order to even process what goes next. But with infertility, there are a million different paths, & very little information available on any of them. I think this has been the hardest part for me. If this helps one person navigate the process more easily, then it’s well worth my effort. Of course, keep in mind that everyone’s journey is very, very different, & this is based solely on MINE.

BETA results are in....

We are officially 9 days post transfer & I went for my first BETA test (pregnancy blood work) this morning. I had to wait for results until this afternoon, which seemed like it took an eternity, but we now have the anticipated results you’ve all been waiting to see.

Our results were 692!!! The nurse specially said, “It’s definitely a POSITIVE!” Whooo hooo!!! Sooo many answered prayers. I did take a home test Tuesday morning, which was a week exactly from transfer day & got a positive result there too. We just didn’t announce yet because we wanted to wait for blood test results from today.

I will return to the clinic for blood work again on Saturday. They hope for numbers to rise by 60%.

Thank you to all who have checked on us & continued to pray for us during this time. We could not of dreamed of all the support this blog has given us.

Wake & Pray: It's TRANSFER Day!

Our appointment started at 10AM this morning for blood work in the fertility office. Next step, surgery center downstairs. Thankfully, these 2 places are in the same building on days like today when it’s raining cats & dogs outside- - Thanks Hurricane Barry!

This procedure requires a full bladder so water, water, & more water intake were my goals while waiting to be called back to pre-op. After pre-op Dr.K brought in our little picture of our baby embryos in which I’ve included above. This image is taken inside of their petri dish. We have successfully transferred a A/5AA & A-/4AB. Transferring 2 embryos isn’t common & doc said especially now, but since we did that last time & we got ONE happy, healthy baby out of it then it makes sense that was the route we took again.

I’m sure most of you by now have seen the recent scare with another fertility clinic in the USA (not going to mention name of clinic on here) transferring babies that were NOT those parents’ actual embryos. MAJOR SCARE! At our doctor office though I’m confident without a doubt we have received ours each & every time. They take such great care of us & thoroughly examine every single detail. Once the petri dish is brought into the transfer room EVERY person in the room verifies patients name, etc before anything further happens.

Our waiting game begins now! Our next appointment will include a pregnancy test at the clinic on July 25th. As of today, I am considered PUPO (Pregnant Until Proven Otherwise) in the fertility world. I will be on modified bedrest until our next appointment.

Prayers, prayers, prayers for sticky baby dust continues! The next 9 days are going to seem like an eternity, but we cannot be any more thrilled to be on this wonderful journey once again. A huge thank you to everyone who has checked on us or even just sent a simple message to tell me they are praying for us thus far. You are so appreciated more than we could ever express!

Step #3 Prayers & Baby dust

Today I had another ultrasound & blood work appointment. My uterine lining (cells that line the womb) they like to be more than 8.0 for transfer & mine was 8.7 today. Yay! Blood work came back good as well so on to our next steps.
Medications will now include:
·      Continue Estrace three times daily
·      Start Progesterone Injections 75mg tomorrow night & continue those nightly
Friday night I will start Doxycycline twice daily & Prednisone 3 tablets daily just for 4 days through transfer day.

Transfer day will officially be Tuesday, July 16th!!

To all of our prayer warriors please keep us in your prayers especially over the next week as we hope to begin our journey to expanding our family & giving Alston a sibling(s). There is a chance this could not work, but we are keeping a positive attitude & praying for the best outcome. We want prayers for a healthy baby regardless of the sex or number, but that we do succeed with at least one. Thank you all so much for following our sweet journey thus far once again.
